This past year has been one helluva ride. Some twisty downs: the loss of my grandparents. Weight gain. Brutal winter. Changed friendships. But so many sky-rocket ups: acceptance into Purdue's VCD program. New beginnings. Strengthened faith. Beautiful summer weather. Peace. Exploring new parts of the country. And family bonding.
♡
This has been a summer full of family fun. They are the ones who share the ride. Who are there for the ups and for the downs. And with only 7 days left of living under the same roof, my brothers and I took a little day trip to Kings Island amusement park; a summer must.
Mom & Dad spoiled us with fast passes. Skipping the lines was amazing. We got to ride the Diamondback (my favorite ride) 10 TIMES in a row. Those passes were definitely worth the extra bucks. A total game changer. I don't think I could ever go back without one.
I can now cross off "take a selfie on a rollercoaster" on my bucket list. Epic.
You can't go to King's Island and not get the blue icecream... so beautiful. So delicious.
Good thing I took a pic when I did.
Drip, drip.
Gee, that went quick. *Now resist temptation to go buy another.*
It was a good brother-sister bonding day. Laughs. Jokes. Little quarrels. Story telling. I even heard those manly boys screaming like little girls.
It really seems like yesterday that I was still able to win wrestling fights, could hold griffy on my waist, and riley still needed help tying his shoes. Being a big sister to these boys is one of my favorite things about life.
I am a lucky sister who gets to ride out the downs and enjoy the ups of life with these boys by my side. Couldn't be happier to have Riley join me at Purdue this year and I will terribly miss Griffin who will be rockin' 8th grade in his last year at middle school.
I love you both so much.
xoxo, sissy
